J. Mark Iwry
J. Mark Iwry is senior adviser to the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury and deputy assistant secretary for retirement and health policy.
Previously, Iwry was principal of the Retirement Security Project, nonresident senior fellow at The Brookings Institution, benefits tax counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and member of the White House Task Force on Health Care Reform. He was also attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell, LLP, outside counsel to AARP, chair of the D.C. Bar Employee Benefits Committee, and research professor at Georgetown University.
Iwry earned a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. from Harvard Law School.
