Brigitte Madrian is a professor at Harvard’s Kennedy School, director of the social science programs at Harvard’s Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and co-editor of The Journal of Human Resources.
Previously, she was on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and Harvard University’s economics department. Madrian’s primary research focus is on understanding how to promote better long-term savings and other financial outcomes for individuals. She earned her Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
